Sounds reasonable to me.
They would probably call, If they were coming here. We have a jail full of people from other places on "Probation Hold" whatever that Is? This city has 4413 residents, and 68 people In JAIL. Can't get out unless I just up and leave. I could give the keys to the house to the Mayor, and tell him Good Luck? Could be possible, but need some legal advice.
Can't you just email the local Police Chief, instead? Or maybe tweet him?
