"Former Racine city administrator hospitalized in Mich. with self-inflicted gunshot wound"

Apparently, Ben Hughes tried to kill himself. I'll never forget the look on his face when Becker was busted. He hightailed it out of Racine as soon as Becker stepped down. I bet there are stories he could tell . . .

He was distraught over losing his job. Clearly that happened because the Nov 1. Common Council Meeting was to discuss the City managers contract and the City manager is now shown to be Mike Smith.
Should have just got drunk instead - at home - passed out, and moved on.
It says he shot himself in the arm - musta flinched. Here is a picture of a successful shotgun suicide. DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH - GRAPHIC IMAGE! Shotgun Suicide
Good old rotten.com. I forgot about that place. And I'm going to try to forget it again.
Btw, you're a better reporter than all the Journal Times reporters.
A 12ga to your head will definately ruin your day.
OMG, Is rotten.com still out there? Haven't looked in quite some time. Fearful of viruses and porn.
Interesting, the same Michigan paper carrying the story about Ben Hughes credits it's picture to the JT while simultaneously running a story on a successful recall of Troy Michigan's Mayor whose term is described as: “We’re very happy that Troy can now finally move forward and the embarrassment of Janice Daniels’ short term as mayor is finally over.”
Racine WI. and Troy MI. have a lot in common. Hopefully the embarrassment will end in Racine.
First, I'm very glad to have not known about rotten.com
Second, Suicide or Attempted or Fake attempted suicide are NOTHING to laugh about, or ignore. Acutally It can happen to ANY family, and will change your life forever should any of our readers experience It.
first look at rotten.com
suicide is never pretty
I agree with Toad, including friends
I choose not to look at the link. I agree with the 2 boys, nothing to joke about. You have to be very desperate and confused to think that to be a viable or your best option.
