women drivers

This morning on the Interstate, I looked over to my left and there was a woman In a brand new Cadillac doing 65 mph with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner.

I looked away for a couple seconds to continue shaving and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup.

As a man, I don't scare easily. But she scared me so much; I had to put on my seat belt and I dropped my electric shaver which knocked the donut out of my other hand.

In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell Into the coffee between my legs!

Splashed, and burned Big Jim and the Twins, ruined the damn phone, soaked my trousers, and disconnected an important call.

Damn women drivers

Thanks for the new stop signs at State and Erie. Now traffic backs up on both streets instead of just one. That's Racine, always dumbing it down, always making everyone suffer for the incompetence of the few.

"Stupid Town," indeed.

Orbs, the city was working on new lights on the corner of 16th and West Blv. so they had stop signs set up. the traffic was moving faster using the stops signs then the lights.

there would be 2 maybe 3 cars and when the lights are running 6 to 10 if not more....they must work for the gasoline industry.

I don't understand the timing of the lights on some of the routes I take. Aren't they supposed to do time studies for the various parts of day and program the lights accordingly?

Before they put up the stop signs, if you were heading north, it made sense to take State to Erie to Dodge to Main. Coming back south, however, the reverse route was backed up, because 95% of the drivers in Racine cannot properly negotiate a left turn (from Erie to State).

On the trip back, it made sense to take the recommended route of Main to Hamilton to Douglas to State. The light at State and Douglas assured you of a clean shot heading east. Now with the stop signs, both streets back up. Instead of removing inept drivers from our streets, the city makes people who do know how to drive put up with the people who don't.

Rant, rant, rant,...
