This show was filmed in June, 1965 at the Kiel Opera House in St Louis. Carson hosted the Tonight Show from the opera house that evening. The Rat Pack was playing Vegas, but visited. This is supposed to be the ONLY time Carson sang in public.
Quincy Jones was there, conducting the Count Basie band; he isnvisible in the background.

I saw Carson sing several times on his show. He had a good voice. That clip makes you think about how things have changed, that despite current comedy, this has become a more serious world.
