Today, Fat Tuesday, is also known as Pączki Day

A pączek is a deep-fried piece of dough shaped into a flattened sphere and filled with confiture or other sweet filling. Pączki are usually covered with powdered sugar, icing or bits of dried orange zest.

we eat Semlor on Fat Tuesday here in Sweden.. I dont know how to do links, but you can copy and paste this and see about those.. I enjoy them with vanilla custard, but they usually use almond paste and that gets to be a bit much for me..
