hi to you too!! if you start having bizarre dreams, there is a good chance you over slept... yikes!! not late but little time to get ready, happy Monday!
Good morning everyone. We made it back from up north. Yes I kidnapped Drew and took him up north for the weekend. Surprising he did not go kicking and screaming. We really enjoyed ourselves we stayed by his mom and dad's house, we seen my older daughter Friday and my son and grandkids yesterday on the way home. I hope everyone has a good day and be careful out there with the winds.
The real reason for this week's Avatar change is that it is "MY FIRST COLONOSCOPY". Tomorrow I begin the starving/prepping day. Sounds like very shitty of a day to have. It will be a P/P day for me.(poop&poop). Wednesday is the "procedure". I hate STARVING.... really really really :(
You have my sympathy BLB. However there are alternatives. My Dr. wanted me to get a colonoscopy but I couldn't afford it. Instead, he gave me a packet to take home. I couldn't eat certain foods or take some medications for about a week. Then I had to sample my poop for three days in a row. BTW I will be the first to admit that my sh*t DOES indeed stink!
That was about a month ago. I'm going to assume that everything is OK. No news is good news. Right?
BL, Don't you worry bout a thing (geez another song) Anyhow ain't nuttin to It. Yes, the prep, Is a bit uncomfortable, but just park your butt on the john, and drink the gallon of weak lemonade, or whatever flavor you choose, and you will be just fine. Some people (my twin sister) complain like crazy about It, but you won't even know you had the darn test. You will wake up, and wonder when It's going to happen. I had both the Lower, and the Endoscopy done, NO PROBLEM. He said I was a PERFECT ASSHOLE.
Today's blog sounds like conversations at an old folks home. Get real, the government has been sticking it up our asses for years without our knowledge of what the real purpose and costs are. At least you know what is going to happen and what the costs are. Plus you are voluntarily submitting yourself to this shitty procedure.
Butt, have a great P&P (pleasurable & painfree) day anyway up your butt on your special day.
Getting ready for the test is the worst part. You'll be knocked out for the procedure and you'll go home and sleep for a few hours and be fine. BTW, when they say you can't drive yourself, they mean it. You will not be coherent enough to drive.
My guess is BLB will be giving demonstrations at the next gathering. she will be using one of her beheaded dolls. Perhaps she will use a dremel tool for this.
Thanks to everyone right from the bottom (of my heart)! I appreciate those kind words that I will appreciate and think of you all before during and after. You probably do not like that thought, tho.... as it is a bit strange. Peace.
He will be if someone quits feeding him chili. He was racing along the back fence chasing a UPS truck when I was home for lunch so I think he's doing well. Oh and BTW, there will be pictures tomorrow. Not quite a Kodak moment....
Welcome back THB and drew. Check out the blog on birds of paradise from a few days ago.
BLB, Mary and the others are right, the worst part of a colonoscopy is the prep the night before. You'd never think that much crap and water can come out of you.
Mary, "Go home and sleep for a few hours" HUH, First place I went was KFC of a bunch of FOOD. The hell with sleep. As for coherent, I could have TAKEN my drivers test afterwards.
I must say, I brought the photos to my regular Dr. a few weeks later, and he said when he walked into the room "FAMILY PHOTO'S?" This Is the best part. I didn't get It until just the other day, (two years later) when I saw a different Dr. (I fired him) The jerk Is probably still laughing?

I was awakened by a sick dog. Not a fun way to start the day. But, he is okay and that is the main thing.
We're off and running........

Good luck, BLB. I dread the moment my doc tells me my procrastination days are used up.

Now, I'm dreading the sheer thought of a colonoscopy....
It's great to be back! Spent many hours cooped up in car between destinations. Got some great pictures of some rare birds, so it WAS worth it...
