  2. I swear they just make up shit to cover their asses. I've been told that 5 different things are wrong with my internet connection by 5 different technicians. The last one said my modem is shot and I have to replace it. Funny, it's downloading at 30Mbps, more than twice the speed that Road Runner Turbo promises, but it's shot? A tech told me that TWC started sending out a new signal for internet and a lot of modems are incompatible with it. He said the new signal burned up the insides of my modem. I called him a liar. Am I supposed to believe that TWC sent out a new signal that destroys their customers' modems? I asked the tech, "Are you swapping out all of the modems in Racine?" He told me there are hundreds of different modems. I called him a liar again because I know that TWC uses only two or three different ones.

    TWC technicians make two assumptions about every service call: you are the problem and you are an idiot.

    It's the lies, lies, lies that get me. I'm losing time and money and TWC's response is lies. They have a monopoly on cable in Racine and it shows in their outrageous price gouging of customers while they deliver an inferior service.

  5. By the way, all of this diagnosing is being done over the phone. No one has come here to check anything out. How a tech can tell that my modem is "burned up inside" without examining it is beyond me. (It's working fine right now.) Perhaps they employ ESP in their repairs?

    So tired of the lies....

  6. legal stranger, I changed it out of respect for other readers. Some people don't like the f-bomb.

    TWC has been this way as long as I can remember. Outrageous prices and a fuck you attitude are the result of a monopoly.

    One of the techs told me, "Customers are Time Warner Cable's first priority. Another lie. I pointed out that TWC's first and only concern is money. If they cared about their customers, they wouldn't fuck them over all of the time.
