I love that whole Dove campaign. They celebrate the beauty in our differences. They also show real women, with natural curves. I heard once that if you want to feel ugly, read beauty magazines. It makes a lot of sense.
This made me cry.. I'm sure we have all struggled with our own self image. I know I have struggled my whole life. I've struggled with weight issues since I was 12, now I got that under control I look at the lines on my face, the grays in my hair.. I wish just once I could look at myself and just see me and not the flaws.. I love Dove, they truly do remind me to appreciate myself. I stay away from beauty magazines but that does not stop you from being bombarded with unrealistic standards of beauty, it's everywhere. I struggle everyday with trying to teach the girls to be happy with themselves just the way they are cause to me they are the most beautiful creatures in the world, I would hate that they would see themselves as anything else.
