I will be taking more picture of the Root River on Northwestern and by Spring St. today before I pick Drew up from work. I just can't believe that the last few days did this to our city. According to the weather people on the news we only got four inches of rain. I say B.S. to the weather people on how much rain we have gotten because this is more than what they say. More pictures to come!

Thanks for the pics.. Talked to my mom a little earlier according to her the river has only raised a few inches since yesterday evening and seems to be pretty stable. The last flood destroyed their basement luckily never made it to their first floor.. Before the last flood 5 years ago it was 50 years since the last time it flooded so much.. Before the last flood we watched the river rise many times without ever worrying about flooding.. Now every time we get a good rain the nerves start to come...
Why Not, You should have seen the flood of "63" It was crazy. My uncle was running his boat down Luedke Ave. They lived on the opposite end, near Wickham, but on Luedke. What a mess they had In the basement.
Thanks for the pics, THB.
I don't know how much rain we've had (besides "a lot"), but melting snow is also contributing to this.
My parents live right off of luedtke right on the river.. My mom lived in the same hose during the flood of 63. That did seem to be higher.. The flood 5 years ago they have video of fish swimming around on luedtke.. Pretty wild.. Looking forward to this flood warning to pass..
