The Last Party of the School Year!
We could not believe this when we went to Whitewater University to pick my daughter to bring her home. Driving down the main street on the college campus the garbage in the yards from the kids having a party the night before. You can say it usually is going out with a bang but for the kids it is going out with a hangover for the school year. When I seen the yards I told Drew I had to get a picture and write a blog about this. I was just wondering how many under age kids got fines for drinking. Here is the picture from the kids partying!

I did landscape work at Carthage College, and all hell breaks loose when the school year is over. Like in you photo, there was garbage all over the place.
what a bunch of messy piggies, sad really :(
I think we would be astonished, revolted and mostly sad at what behaviors go on in college towns.
They have been talking about "date rape" a lot on the news lately. Kids use alcohol and substances to abuse and behavior and manners are nonexistent. I've seen a trend among young people for disrespect between boyfriend/girlfriend and actual violence occurring between them, openly and in public.
Back in the 60’s and early 70’s we use to go to LaCrosse for Oktoberfest. It was a riot (first weekend of October) but as anything else the kids screwed it up for themselves by leaving junk and peeing in the yards of people while they walked down the street.
The public got tired of it and the cops put an end to that...
I asked my "daughter" about the partying that goes on. The good news is that is happens mostly off campus and not in the dorms where she lived.
Security is pretty tight there.
