Happy Monday to everyone! Been a wicked few days with storms and wind, but we made it through unscathed. Not so for many people in the Twin Cities, still without power and may be a couple more days. Temps in the high 80's (can I say FINALLY?) and now humid too. I have to admit I did kick the AC on tonight when the wind died down. Stay cool and safe!
In pain with shoulder and neck...did something to my already pinched nerve. Plus my hand keeps going numb. Just another pain in the neck to live with that is keeping me down and I'm not getting stuff done.
Weekend started out good. We went out to eat Fri at Texas Roadhouse then went to see the movie Now You See Me. Good movie! I recommend it. However, two tickets, a bushel of popcorn and a gallon of soda (number 2 combo) comes to just under $32.00 !!!!! Wait for it to come out in a few months then rent the DVD, or Netflix it, or on Demand.
Saturday I was planning on spending a couple of hours working on the neighbors bathroom,(I've been remodeling it for a couple weeks) then doing stuff around my house. My neighbor breaks the handle off of her cheap kitchen faucet. So, I had to take her out to Home Depot and help her pick out a faucet. (she's in her 80s, asking her to decide between two is befuddling enough much less a wall of 100 to choose from) We get finally get home and I spend the rest of my afternoon clearing out 50 years of accumulated cleaning products and replacing her faucet.
This morning I've taken some Ibuprofen and have the ice pack on my lower back.
BLB, hope your pinched nerve settles down. I can do that simply by sleeping on mine wrong.
My weekend of festivities is over. I'm glad I don't have to go to work. I need to rest from all the fun and games. Next weekend, more parties. Such a party girl! Haha.
Hi Mary, Minnie and Orbs. Are SER and Toad still sleeping? And where the heck is Jed? That man is slacking!
MC, I saw the storms on radar over the weekend. GEEZ, they looked horrible.
BL, Knock on wood, I don't know what a pinched nerve feels like, except Carpal Tunnel. My brother say's their terrible, and I believe It. Here Is my medical tip for the day. BTW, I never get to practice this advice, but, WHILE having sex, you CANNOT feel pain. It goes somewhere for awhile. Just sayin.
DodgeBoy, Your a good person.
Mary, and the rest of the working stiffs, my sincere SYMPATHY, but I really am beginning to think It's better than sitting In a recliner waiting to die. LOL
KK, That's how you stay so young. Party, Party, Party. Just try to avoid doing all the work.
I'm home! I had a family thing down at my sisters in Indiana on Sunday, so I headed out Saturday to get some time with the hubby. I just got home a bit ago, and finally made it here after weeding thru 65 emails - whew! Glad to see you back Orbs! BLB, I hope you recoup soon. Dodgeboy, you sound like an awesome neighbor, she's very lucky to have you. Hope you're feeling better soon as well.
Well thanks Toad..... for advice on pain management.
So...you are saying that to relieve my physical pain in my shoulder for a very small amount of time that it takes to do "IT" means that I must have another type of "pain in the ass" lying there next to me (usually for much longer periods of time, maybe even years?)

Happy Monday to all. It's supposed to be a warm one.
I haven't installed the window a/c unit yet. I wonder how long I can hold out. My electric bill almost doubles when I use a/c.

BL, I believe my daughter would have chosen those exact words, and added, I'll live with the pain, skip the pain In the ass.
