We have water slamming into rocks on our lakefront, too, but we don't have a mountain. :-(

Sometimes when there is lake inversion, the clouds can look like mountains over the lake. Our lake is gorgeous. If I had to move away, it is one of the things I'd miss most.

SER besides my lake, pizza and bakeries are the things I miss most. Oh, and Italian bread.

Mary, The good Italian bread came from Kenosha. If I remember right It was Cardanalies, or something like that. I believe they had another one also, It came In a long paper bag.

Yes, Toad. Cardanali's was a great bread. Very crunchy crust. I haven't seen it in stores in a long time. No one mentioned the Danish layer cake?

KK. Wouldn't that light cake with fruit filled middle and whipped cream frosting fall under bakeries. Along with creamed filled eclairs and brownies. Not to forget kringles. Yes I'm hungry.
