Aerial View of Racine's Latest Roundabout
Maybe the way that roundabouts "save lives" is to be so confusing that traffic comes to a standstill. No traffic, no accidents.

I absolutely hate round a bouts... I will avoid them all together if at all possible. I have not encountered a single one that doesn’t seem like a recipe for disaster
Personally, I don't have any issues with roundabouts. I go through them all the time! They seem to be more of a common thing, sprouting up everywhere I go. Appleton, Oskosh, Fond du Lac, Whitewater and Watertown have them.
My trick is to slow down, yield and stay to the right if I want to turn right or go straight. Left lane for the left turn.
$5.5M gone bye-bye in a dying city for this roundabout.
