Useless Information

Did you Know:

It all started in a small drive-in restaurant in San Bernardino, California in the late 1940′s. The restaurant was owned by the two brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald’s.

In 1963 McDonald’s sold one million hamburgers per day and the same year hamburger number 1 billion was served.

Today McDonald’s has more than 31,000 restaurants worldwide. They serve 47 million customers daily. Revenue of around $24 billion.

As a note:
Even though the McDonald’s Brother had a great franchise concept they had no ambition to take the franchise nationwide. Ray Kroc, a local sales man saw the potential in the franchise and was the driving force to make McDonalds what it is today.

  1. I remember when McDonald's first opened in Racine on 21st and Lathrop. My family used to make an outing of going there. My dad made a little wooden table that he hung off of the dashboard and rested on the seat. I think the food was better then. They should've stuck to burgers and fries.

  2. And I liked the way the old McDonald's looked, too.

  3. I remember when going to McDonalds was a treat.

What amazes me now is all the food they offer but the kitchens haven't changed. Scares me a bit.

  5. I remember (I think) it was Wednesdays, they had a deal you could get 12 burgers for a dollar.

they do have way too many items on their menu. Originally the McDonald brothers restaurant had 24 items, they reduced it to 9.
