"Background radiation is 30 CPM. Near the ocean it's 150 CPM. The fine mist coming from the ocean waves seems to be what makes the Geiger Counter jump. More thorough readings need to be done! Where is the useless government/media?"

Radiation in Rain Milwaukee 11 17 13, 310cpm or 30 TIMES normal!!
Published on Nov 17, 2013
This is a measurement with my Digital Inspector geiger counter on a ten minute count. I swiped the windshield of my truck after 6 hours of hard rain, put the sample in a clean baggie and ran the 10 minute test. It started clicking fast right away. The test totaled 3120cpm at the end of a 10 minute count, or 310cpm. Normal background is 25-85cpm.

Jeremy Jackson: Ocean Apocalypse
This is a one and one half hour video of what is happening to our oceans. (1 hour for the lecture and slides and 1/2 hour Q&A) This is all about what is happening or has already happened, not just what is going to happen. It is all about data, not theory.
Call of Life: Facing the Mass Extinction :
Synopsis: If current trends continue, scientists warn that within a few decades at least HALF of all plant and animal species on Earth will disappear forever. “Call of Life: Facing the Mass Extinction” is the first feature documentary to investigate the growing threat to Earth’s life support systems from this unprecedented loss of biodiversity. Through interviews with leading scientists, psychologists, historians, and others, the film explores the causes, the scope, and the potential effects of the mass extinction, but also looks beyond the immediate causes of the crisis to consider how our cultural and economic systems, along with deep-seated psychological and behavioral patterns, have allowed and continue to reinforce the situation, and even determine our response to it. “Call of Life” tells the story of a crisis not only in nature, but also in human nature, a crisis more threatening than anything human beings have ever faced before.

Guy's Climate Chaos Presentation
Guy presents the laundry list of scientific evidence that goes back nearly 100 years supporting the horrific threat of extinction of all living beings on the planet possibly by 2030. Or sooner if Fukushima melts down. Oh wait. It already did...
We had to know...It doesn't just go away. And this radiation is from what should have otherwise been thought to be relegated and "safe" usage. Gives me more than the heebie jeebies to think that Iraq and Iran are dabbling and advancing in their use and knowledge to make "the bomb."
The media alarms you with stories about hydrogenated oils being a risk to your health. Right. Much like global warming, by the time anyone stops and actually gives a damn about nuclear radiation, it will be too late.
I believe this is being played down because of fear of panic. Why get people worked up if there's nothing we can do about it?
I remember when we were advised not to drink milk in the 50's because of radioactive fallout.
The Radiation in Rain Milwaukee video that Richard Head linked to is scary. We're already getting dosed with this poison. How many illnesses and deaths will this cause?

Forensics: Age written in teeth by nuclear tests
A legacy from above-ground testing provides a precise indicator of the year in which a person was born.
Establishing the age at death of individuals is an important step in their identification and can be done with high precision up to adolescence by analysis of dentition, but it is more difficult in adults. Here we show that the amount of radiocarbon present in tooth enamel as a result of nuclear bomb testing during 1955–63 is a remarkably accurate indicator of when a person was born. Age is determined to within 1.6 years, whereas the commonly used morphological evaluation of skeletal remains and tooth wear is sensitive to within 5–10 years in adults.

"Within weeks of setting off a geiger counter and scrubbing three layers of skin off his hands and arms, former Navy quartermaster Maurice Enis recalled being pressured to sign away U.S. government liability for any future health problems.
Enis and about 5,000 fellow sailors aboard the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier had finally left Japan, after 80-some days aiding victims of the March 11, 2011, Fukushima earthquake and tsunami, and were about to take a long-awaited port call in Thailand."

Mystery over what’s killing bald eagles in Utah
SALT LAKE CITY — Bald eagles are dying in Utah — 20 in the past few weeks alone — and nobody can figure out why.
Hundreds of the majestic birds — many with wing spans of 7 feet or more — migrate here each winter, gathering along the Great Salt Lake and feasting on carp and other fish that swim in the nearby freshwater bays.
Earlier this month, however, hunters and farmers across five counties in northern and central Utah began finding the normally skittish raptors lying listless on the ground. Many suffered from seizures, head tremors and paralysis in the legs, feet and wings.
Officials at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center have their own theories. Some point to radiation from Japan after the 2011 meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
