  2. I am up early this morning because Drew had to be into work at 4am. I have some errands to run later and I had to take him to work. Yesterday I actually made to batches of cookies and have a lot more to do. I hope everyone has a good day today!

  3. I'm without a car today as hubby's truck is in the shop. That's the bad news. Good news is he will go to Norman (Kenosha to you) to get a Christmas gift. I'm happy happy happy. Plus temps in the 60's again. It's a good week.
And, the Lions lost last night.
    Have a great day everyone.

  5. Today, it is my weekend technically.
I have to make this thing called Christmas happen and all the stuff
that goes with it. I feel like divorcing the day, but probably never could because I am such a creature of habit. It is a deeply sad day, too. My oldest child is gone, my dad is gone, and my mom is not well and lives far away.

I have grandchildren. I look in their innocent faces and feel pain
not knowing the tradgeies that may be seen in their lives and the pain they may feel. I want to protect them but I WILL BE TOO OLD OR GONE MYSELF.

I look at my own children and know their own pain and the toils in
their lives and I feel fear.

I guess we must know that we all have something good and others have it much worse. I have a home that is warm...and family...and great friends...my pets...food.
What will be , will be.

  7. Things are finally slowing down here for the holidays. It looks like I am the only one who is not taking vacation next week so I will have the office to myself.

Don't feel too bad...I am an oddball who takes my vacation in January when I go to Florida for the Disney Marathon...we all have our celebrations that are important to us!

Heck I am even working on Christmas Day...at one of my part time jobs doing star parties at a local resort. Okay, that's only for a couple of hours in the evening and only if the weather is good, but I enjoy it so showing people the desert skies with a telescope is not a bad way to spend Christmas evening in my opinion!

  8. Happy Tuesday. It's just a Popsicle, right?

They're doing some work in my apartment and Charlie and I have to be out of here from 7:30 AM to 5 PM tomorrow.

Any suggestions on where to take Charlie for a day? If it was just me, I'd sleep in the lobby or something.

  9. Too bad you can't find a vest that says Charlie is a service cat. You could bring him everywhere.

  10. I'm fighting off the Christmas season downers, happens every year, from Thanksgiving til after the new year arrives, just bites... I just need to become a hermit til it's over.
Christmas cookies are happening this week, our annual actual day is Friday but I'm starting one a day til then. That usually helps.

  12. Sounds like a good Christmas Hale. Putting smiles on people; it doesn't get much better than that.
