  1. Oh Maxine, she's my hero!
chilly out there today. I am loving the journey that our new feature is taking me on. I am so excited and happy for the time I get to spend with local business owners, and finding out more about them. I only talked to 2 people yesterday but felt so crazy uplifted and warm inside, crazy, huh?

  4. My suggestion to you if you are considering a move: DON'T!

At least I have silverware now and I can take a shower, almost like a real person.

  5. Orb's, Where did you find the silverware?

Mary, It looks like now you can add EARTHQUAKES to all of the fun you guy's have down there.

  6. Yes, we had a 4.5 earthquake today. Funny, I was in the living room and all I felt was a big bump and hubby was in kitchen and he watched things shake. Craziness.

Oh Orbs - did I tell you that your Festivus tree should go up on the 23rd. And I'm glad you found your silverware.

  7. "At least I have silverware now and I can take a shower"

I probably won't like the answer but I gotta ask, How?

  8. I didn't realize how dumb that sounded if you don't know that I couldn't find my shower curtain either.

Toad, it was in the bottom of a box marked "kitchen." I just didn't dig deep enough at first.

Moving is like reverse engineering your life while conditions change.

I still haven't found my under-the-sink cleaning stuff like Windex, Mr. Clean, etc.

Oh, bad news, my (document) scanner died. It was working before the move but reuses to show any signs of life now.

  9. Oh, and I received my first Christmas card today, from Mary and hubby. Thank you. I usually don't get any because I don't send any myself.

  11. Daddy Orbs- Your cleaning stuff you put in a plastic bin. I hope you find everything else you are looking for.

Mary- I feel the same way you do with the temps going down. Yesterday Drew and I went out birding during the day then last night we went to Candy Cane Lane in West Allis so I can get some Christmas lights pictures. They didn't have as much this year there. Thank you for the Christmas card from you and hubby.

  13. Well, I had an upset this morning. Are you guys aware there is a 24 HOUR FISHING CHANNEL? Stop the madness.
But in much better news, my fiber optic lite train blew up last year. Now it just looks like an ornament. Today after trying to fix it, hubby happened to look and an exact replica is out on E-bay. Well, it was out there, not anymore. Mine now.
It's a good day and will be better if the Packers win.

BTW, for those of you who didn't get a Christmas card, it is because I don't have your address. You can e-mail me if you'd like.

  14. Mary: we thought that you just don't like us. :p

I used to send a lot of cards this time of year. I don't send them anymore. With the Internet making the ability to communicate so frequently and easily with those near and far, the need to keep in touch via Christmas cards seemed to not be necessary. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good goodnight. :)

  15. THB, thanks. I found the cleaning supplies.

Mary, I didn't mean to put you on the spot with the Christmas card. It was the 2nd piece of mail I received here and I got excited.

  16. Daddy Orbs- You are very welcome for the help. Now if you can't find anything else let me know and I will try to help you find it! LOL

kk- I agree with you on some of the Christmas Cards but I have family that does not have internet so I do send some cards out to.
