From RacineUncovered:
"On Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, stop out at
Barnes & Noble on Hwy. 31 (S. Green Bay Rd) to have a cup of coffee
with Police Officers from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department. Meet the
officers that patrol your area and get to know them a little more than
just the person in the squad car.
"Ask questions about the job. Ask questions about safety or just ask
how the day is going. This event is designed to bring the community
together to get to know each other in a relaxed setting and allow the
community to learn about the police department and its officers. It also
allows the officers to get to know the community on a more personal
basis."

I will be there
For your bromance....
I live in Racine, but the MPPD are much more impressive. I have coffee with several every day.
I went to this event with legal stranger. I, too, was impressed with the officers.
I didn't attend the first "Coffee with Cops," but legal stranger and BL Basketcase did: http://www.jtirregulars.com/2013/12/coffee-with-cops-at-mcdonalds.html
The turnout was not as large for this meeting. I think the time, 5-7 pm, interfered with supper time. Others blamed the weather.
I recommend attending the next "Coffee with Cops." You'll meet law enforcement officials up close and personal. Positive interaction between the police and the public improves us all.
