I am extremely happy to be home and not have to fight this cold. We will make these days up when it is warmer and the sun is up earlier in the morning. We wont like it, but we will all be safe.
This closing is appropriate if you care about kids. Everyday, I see kids coming off the buses without warm clothes. I also appreciate that the new administration is making the decision before people go to bed. It gives families a chance to plan for better childcare, instead of hoping the kids will be okay all day alone.
Just received the call from RUSD that in anticipation of the weather forecast for the continuation of extreme cold for tomorrow, all RUSD schools will be closed Tuesday.
