ReplyDeleteThis review is a Strike!
Drew and I were going to take the kids there one day but never made it. Awesome post LM.
ReplyDeleteA famous Racine bowler, and promotor of bowling, Hank Ruppel retired as Secretary Treasurer of the Southside Businessmans Bowling League, and I took over his job. My first year was at Castle Lanes. It was always a top rate place, and I'm sure It still Is. Bob and Larry created a unique entertainment center.
ReplyDeleteit's very nice inside, rustic yet high tech, a really nice blend and balance
ReplyDeleteI want to go bowling Irregular Style!
ReplyDeletewe just have to get you back up this way 1st :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great place. I don't bowl much, but I know someone who did and someone who has a special attachment to Castle Lanes because of that. May they live long and prosper.
ReplyDeleteBLB, been there, done that, twice. The first time we had a fair turnout and some of us weren't afraid to make fools of ourselves. (Watch out for drew. He's a ringer.)
The second time only a few of us showed up, so we sat and talked instead.
I remember the aches and pain from the first time well. I already start to hurt when I think of bowling again.
Yes Orbs is correct, I made a fool out of myself, I don't even think I broke a 100.
ReplyDeleteAs for the second time we sat and talked and (most of us) DRANK...LOVED IT
Was I the only one with bruised knees after the first bowling attempt? Irregular beverages and conversation beat Irregular bowling, IMHO.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeletethe only way I can bowl with my tendinitis, is to pull my arm support ban tight enough to cut off circulation just long enough to throw the ball then release til the next time, not bad, as long as I remember to loosen it up again :)
