Four for Fridays

Hello everyone and welcome back! Another busy week! It's getting crazy... Hopefully I'll get a chance to slow down a bit soon. Anyways your questions....

1) What was the last national park you have been too?

2) What is your favorite gambling game?

3) Who taught you how to swim?

4) Who do you look like more, your father or your mother?

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. 1) I've never been to a national park.

    2) I don't normally gamble. If I do, it's usually a ticket for a big lottery.

    3) I don't really remember. I grew up a block from North Beach. We were in the water a lot. I think my sister gave me some pointers and I kinda copied what other people were doing.

When I was younger, my dad did that "Throw 'em in deep water and they'll learn to swim to save themselves." I nearly drowned. All it did was traumatize me.

$) My father. The older I get, the closer the resemblance is. It's kinda creepy.

    Thanks for the questions, drew.

  8. I think the only one I've ever been to is the one in Cassville, WI, right on the Mississippi, when the kids were little

    none

went for lessons at Case HS growing up but I was not too cooperative, didn't like it at all, but eventually, I know enough to survive. I can float on my back for days if needed, so relaxing!

wow, I need to read these questions when I can focus and my mind is still alert, I thought the last question was "who we liked better", and coming up on Mother's Day, I was quite shocked, til I re-read it :) I look much like my sister, and a cousin on my 'dad's' side, tho I don't see a resemblance to either parent, personally...

  9. 1. I think the only official National Park I have visited was Redwood National Park. We drove through the hollow of a tree.

    2. I'm not a gambler. I prefer a sure thing. ;> Used to like to occasionally go to Arlington Park and stand on the rail when the horses thundered across the finish line. ;>

    3. Self taught, small backyard pool. Never liked sticking my head under. Prefer the backstroke.

    4. I think I'm a mix, but as I get older, I see some of my mother's family sneaking in.

"YMCA In the OLD building on WIS Ave."

Talk about a blast from the past. I knew it was there, but my father forbade me to go there because he said the YMCA was run by Protestants and we were Catholics. He also had a thing about the Masons.
