Heroin Summit
Thursday
May 15th.
2014
Waterford High School
6pm to 8pm
This educational summit is an effort by our many branches of local government to inform the public of the dangers of heroin to our community.
You will learn why this drug is so addictive and
especially destructive for people under 24.
This is the last of a series of crime prevention incidents
regarding heroin.
This seminar brings updated
information to the public about the latest dangers of this community destroying
drug.
You may have heard it said;
“it takes a community to
raise a child”
It also takes a community to
save a person,
and we do that one person at
a time.
We all need to realize what a growing epidemic this is. It's not your usual "druggies" any more; it's the people you would least expect to have a problem. We need to be informed.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I won't be able to attend.
An educational seminar. YES.
ReplyDeleteCrime prevention? NO.
Drug abuse is NOT a crime.
It is a social issue.
What do you expect when Hollywood and the Media pimp drug use and abuse? It's cool, hip, and always "IN".
Very easy and wearable heroin chic inspired makeup. This looks amazing on people with blue eyes, but also on other eye colors as well.
One problem that we don't think of, is that the price and availability of this harder drug has made it more accessible to kids. It can actually be more affordable and more available than marijuana. The younger generation doesn't fully comprehend the gravity or the real consequences of this highly addictive drug.
ReplyDeleteDrug abuse and crime go hand in hand.
If you would have attended the summit that would be one of the first topics that was aforementioned. The price of heroin is long known to be very cheap. In fact, 10 dollars of heroin may addict one for life. Also there are plenty of seemingly straight white collar society, working and doing illegal drugs without other crimes tagged to them.
ReplyDeleteHow could you write this piece of
wrong dope?
