Best of Racine 2014 - Buffet


This one, I'm intrigued to see the votes/nominations.
When I chose the category, I actually couldn't come up
with a single place that does buffets anymore. 
I hope to get some ideas.

Golden Corral does a great buffet. Their food is extremely good and diverse. I don't make a habit of going to these places. I always overeat, even though I promised myself I won't.

Not sure where you go if you are looking for that in town. I was turned off by Old Country Buffet in Racine. The food was mediocre and the food tables were not tended. The selections were often empty and messy.

Does anyone remember Obie's on Lathrop? Their roasted beef was the best ever, sliced and served by a man in a chef's outfit, hat and all!

Most of ours have closed as well. I would have to say Golden Corral because the food is good and there is a great selection. And, they have Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Yum.

There is this one place that I use to go to up in Shawano Ponderosa. It was really good and their buffet that is all I would get when I went there because it was so delicious. It was a meal by itself.

Pizza Hut also has a lunch buffet. We went to the one in Whitewater with my daughter. It is not to bad but not the best.

The Old Country Buffet I went to in Appleton is really good. Never take kids there because when you are ready to leave they are not done eating ice cream. I think the kids fill up on ice cream instead of food.

For me Golden Corral is just as good as the Old Country Buffet that I have been to. I have been to two Golden Corral's one in Appleton and one in Kenosha. To me they are both good.

the only buffet i have been to is the Chinese one where block buster video use to be on Washington ave.

i hear Golden Corral is supposed to be pretty good.

the Chinese buffet place next to Piggly Wiggly on 20, not a fan. I've been there twice, both times the food was lukewarm at best, very sad. There is supposed to be one on Hy 11, maybe Elmwood? Haven't been there yet. I wish we had a Golden Corral here in town, I guess Kenosha takes this round.
