Hello, my cool cucumbers!
How are you? We’re finally
getting April weather in June. I guess I
should be glad that I don’t have to run the air conditioner very often, but I
wonder if those “savings” don’t get spent on higher heating costs in colder winters. If it stays this cool through fall, I’d say
we’re in for another nasty, life-threatening winter. It gets harder every year to put up with
winter. I love Christmas, but you can
have the rest of it. I’d love to
hibernate for three months every year. That
would be a good excuse for putting on body fat, too.
I’m so glad that the police arrested those two alleged bank
robbers. It’s been quiet lately. I find it hard to believe, but maybe those
two guys alone robbed the bars and the banks.
I hope that’s true. People would
feel a little more secure in their homes and businesses. I’m still locking my car and setting the
alarm, I still lock my doors and windows at home. I’ve always done that.
I do hope that Mr. Mayor Dickert will take some time to pat
himself on the back for capturing these criminals.
And what about “Machinery Row,” the latest scam meant to
attract Chicago millionaires who
are idiots? I think they said this project
is going to cost $65 million. Don’t
worry, however, because the state is going to pay for most of it. I’m so glad that the state has so much “free”
money earned by the sweat of our brows.
It’s only tax money; it’s not like it’s real.
Junior is already getting antsy because the 4th
of July is next week. I reminded him of
the power of firecrackers and the permanent damage that they can do. I told him that if he blows off a finger this
time, I’m not going to reattach it. So
far, so good. But the firecracker tents
will soon sprout up in empty parking lots.
It’s hard for a boy to ignore such a plethora of temptations. I’ll tell you that if a straw buyer provides
him with firecrackers, he/she will face the Wrath of Zoltar®! They’re already too many things that “go
bang” in our lives. I must add that I’ve
heard a reduction in the amount of illegal firecrackers exploding each
year. Thank you, Racine Police
Department.
I don’t know about going to the parade and fireworks this
year. I’ll have to wear winter clothing. I think I’ll stay home with the Señor. Steaks on the grill for any Irregulars who
stop by. We’ll have a few beers and soda
on ice, too, just in case.
That’s it for this week, my dears. I appreciate your presence and
responses. I love the JTI.
Where to get illegal firecrackers? Ask: madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com
It’s supposed to be cool for the next few days. Wear a light jacket or tie a sweater around
your neck. Enjoy the summer, dears, no
matter how you do it. Lacustrine!

Madame Z- The weather has been good the only thing I don't like to much is all the fog in the morning right now. The Blue Angels had to cancel their show this past weekend because of the fog. The only thing I did not like about that was no one is going to get their money refunded and they will not be back until next year.
We will not be around for the 4th of July Drew has vacation next week. Drew wants to go up north and watch the fireworks there with the Grandkids. We are also going to be spending time with his parents they have a picnic by the lake for the 4th where his parents live.
Yes Mmde Z, you behold incredible wisdom for the few irregulars who read with open minds.
Thank you so much for all you do.
May the force be with you.
MME, I'm usually hiding In the background, but your comment on the "Machinery Row" deal, really hits the spot for ME. I don't live In Racine anymore, but I just don't understand WHEN they are going to GET IT? All of this crap In the Lake, River area, and the rest of the city Is going to HELL In a hand basket. I was there a year ago (about) to get my wonderful dog Winnie, and was ASHAMED. I entered on Hwy. 32 North Side, and hyperventilated all the way through downtown, wondering If I'd get hit by a stray bullet. OH WELL, I guess the people from Chicago will have a beautiful place to hide out for a weekend of SAILING, OOH, LAA, LAA. Maybe the people of Racine can ask the new resident for donations to their STREET LIGHT fund?
few irregulars
Did we just get slammed again by anon? I guess it is easy to be on the nasty when you can hide. "Cowards, I say, I say" ... (ref Foghorn Leghorn)
Madame, please sign me up for the 4th bash. I can't think of a more *explosive* way to celebrate than with you, Senor, and Junior.
I'm actually off the 4th this year. Original plan was to go to the parade, however... 1. my sister is having a house warming party the next day and will most likely be in need of a hand to get ready and 2. I really really don't like crowds.. so we'll see. I'm off, so sleep is the only sure thing for that day. Enjoy Mme. Z!
I like things that "go bang."
Thanks, Mme. Z, for another great blog.
talk about slack'in, i haven't heard of "machinery row".
for the 4th, sorry can't make it to your party, one of my grandsons was born on the 4th and this year he is going camping with his parents so my live in grandson, him and i are going to have a party, so if you're in the neighborhood stop on in.
