lots of sane people went to the parade. lots of sane people went to see fireworks. this nut cooked and canned a ton of chicken and have a table full of chicken and stock, and after much cleaning, finally a clean kitchen. I don't think this counts as sane...
Great weekend for me...trying to have some fun in between going out for the squad and taking care of mom....if there is a way to have fun, I'm finding it!
LM it sounds Irregular. BLB I hope you have a great adventure as you deserve it. I went shopping and all I got was fiber filler and peanuts which I can't eat. Sigh.
Sturtevant fireworks, a decent steak on the grill, roasted sweet corn and tater salad. A more than adequate televised Racine parade (by a Milwaukee channel -shame on Racine) No harm, no injuries... all in all, a successful and pleasant 4th holiday.
Well we made it home today about 9pm. We did some birding on the way home and had to make some stops to see more family.
We really enjoyed our time with the family and had a great time with the Grandkids watching the fireworks on Thursday and Friday we did some birding and spent time with Drew's parents.
We hope everyone had a great and save 4th of July. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
BLB, I can relate. It's a hard road to travel...remember to take care of yourself. It's just too easy to put off doing things for yourself when you are a caregiver.
I had planned to get the floors scrubbed and the inside of my car cleaned. Got the floors done and while reading the paper started watching Wimbledon. Three hours later I was still sitting watching. What a great match. Now I get to clean my car in the 95 degree heat. Oh well, it was worth it. It's been a great weekend.

I could see the fireworks from my window. I saw another bunch to the south. Kenosha?
