The first time I ever saw percussion guitar playing was from a backup performer at a concert.
This small, woman named Kaki King walked out alone onstage, unassuming, wearing a frilly skirt and holding an acoustic guitar. She started off by smiling and then just started killing it. She was blonde with no lip ring back then. I found this video of her performing.
No Toad. She was very interesting to watch and extremely talented, even back then. Im sure with continued practice she has improved her playing skills. Artists are traditionally a different type. To us it is odd, but to each their own, I guess.

Is she better now with that terrible lip ring? Probably NOT? Such talent, with odd destruction of her body?

She's a great guitarist.
The lip ring drew my attention, too. Mainly, it made me glad I don't have metal things stuck into my face. I don't have tattoos, either.
But, like kk said, "to each their own." If they want to mutilate their bodies, go ahead.
Occasionally, I'm surprised by a heavily-tattooed cashier.
