Local Loyalty - Malicki's Piggly Wiggly Part 2

Welcome back to part 2 of
Malicki's Piggly Wiggly on Washington!

Ralph Malicki opened his Piggly Wiggly on Washington Ave.
on May 22nd 2011.
He has many, many years experience in the grocery industry,
and really knows his stuff.
His goal is to give us a better experience,
provide  our needs, and for his employees to make a difference.
He also helps showcase some local businesses within his store.
Look for Sherwood fudge, Cheesecakes by Diana, Taste of Joy, and many other local places, as well as places throughout the state, he carries their goodies. Many can be found in the area near produce, in the 1st aisle, as well as throughout the store. If you see a brand you don't recognize, pick it up and see where it's from. You might be surprised!

Personally, I much prefer Ralph's Piggly Wiggly to any other store in town. The workers are noticeably friendlier and more helpful.
They welcome you, and say hi, even if just passing in an aisle. It feels like home. If you're looking for something that they don't carry,
get ahold of Ralph (just ask for him, he's usually there), and he'll do everything he can to get whatever you're looking for.
You can follow this
 Pig on Facebook.
If you haven't yet stopped in to check them out, please do so.

Ralph's 3 words -
1. Friendly
2. Interactive
3. Engaged,
both with the customers as well as the community.

If you meet Ralph, please let him know you saw it here!

I am always up that way and I am going to have to check it out. I know a couple of people from Sentry are working over there now.

Great store. My place to shop. Also, my place to find body doubles of JTIs.

Okay, it was me... j/k.

I used to always shop the pig. I've been in that store. It seems so big to me. Prices seemed to be on the high side, as well.

I'm so used to having only one choice of peanut butter, tuna, or eggs. I really like the Aldi company concept. Less is better.

The store I shop at in FL is Publix. SER, stop before you start! My niece's husband has told me them all! Anyway, now we have a home in SC, I found a similar store...Ingle's! I refuse to buy meat at Walmart or Aldi's or Save a lot! Love really good produce...no Aldi's in Port Charlotte.

Who owns Ingle's? Why Publix's, of course! Lol.

The meat at Aldi, except for the Tyson chicken and a shrink wrapped rack of ribs I found, is really lacking. The produce has really improved. I've kind of stopped buying meat, other than hamburger, just shake my head at the price and walk away. Occasionally, I'll go to Pig and pick up a sale item.

The Pig up on Spring St. has friendly staff and good service, also. For a small store, they carry a lot.

But, I must admit, the Malicki's Pig on Washington Ave. has a huge heart for the community, and there are many other people, such as the lady that makes those neat scarf style ties for women, and the Boar's Head deli meats...

Try out their Malicki Bros. brats. Normally, you can't pay me to eat them, normally. But their flavors like mushroom Swiss, Russian, Hungarian, Jalapeno, etc are very awesome...
