It has been a very busy, hectic and FAST summer, I can't believe we're already in September! Wow, where has the time gone?

These have been my ponderings
while thinking about the future of this feature.
Why I am doing this?
Hmmm, great question, as going out and interviewing people I haven't met yet is way out of my comfort zone.
I guess I have to give a little nod to one of Racine's most influential ladies, Beth David. She has been a huge, positive force in trying to make our city better. There is such a focus on the negatives, yet, it feels like so little help trying to turn it into positives.
If you're not going to try to make it better, then stop complaining. Complaining is negative, we have enough of that. We need to step up and help create positive!
We sometimes feel over run in big box stores and forget about the small, locally owned businesses and great shops we have right here in our very own town. They often get over looked, or even go unnoticed.
These are owned by people of our community. They need our help to stay in business. If we want to help in a positive way, we need to show our support to the 'little guys', right in our own area.
Please click the side bar and review past posts and try to stop in and visit our locally owned businesses. They need us!
Don't freak out, I AM going to be going against one of my foundation guidelines, of not featuring chains, etc, but there is one that makes a huge difference in our community and helps small busiesses get a leg up. I will proudly, and very excitedly be featuring one specific place, whose owner is by far, a huge, awesome help to the little guys amoungst us.

I finally sat down with my many notes, business cards, lists of places to 'hit up', and made a much easier to manage and read spread sheet. Now time to hit the streets!

THEY DON'T NEED PROMOTION WHEN THEY RECEIVE CORRUPT CONTRACTS AND PAYOFFS ALREADY.

If you have a problem with me, don't read anything I post. I am not a freaking reporter, nor a journalist, I am simply highlighting businesses. I don't go into their financials, nor ask their political affiliations, etc.
If what I am doing bothers you so, please troll elsewhere. I am not going to ask anybody's permission to feature anybody. Those that I interview have taken of their time, to speak with me, a nobody, who can't guarantee them a darn thing or any improvement to their income whatsoever. In return for sharing of their time, I will not tolerate attacks on any of them. It's called common courtesy. Plain and simple.
This site is not a head hunting site, nor a slamming site. Please honor the intentions whether you share my view or not. Again, if anything I do bothers you, feel free to avoid me, I promise I won't feel hurt one bit.

Anonymous, this isn't about a list. This is about small businesses in Racine that people would like to hear about and that LM has taken the time to go and check out.

I stand with the above posts. If you can't be civil and OWN your words by using a consistent user name... go to our former site, to yahoo comments, or other sites where all they do is childishly bash every article written. We've lost interest in this nonsense and have moved on.

This is a public website available to the public. If you want to start a private website then start a private website, or you could do that privately on Facebook. You choose to make it public and then you celebrate the hits on your website, so which is it - a private club or a public website? Now you are threatening to ban users for sharing facts and their opinion, and censor comments that don't match up with your opinion.
If you post lies and promote corruption, there are people out here whose lives are being endangered by it and you're too ignorant to realize that. You will find out soon enough that our city has been corrupt for a long time and that you have supported said corruption, and made ridiculous attacks against the victims of corruption.
You should be ashamed of your selfish a callous attitude. Wake up, or grow up, and realize that the world doesn't revolve around the JTI moderators and their crony friends. Other people have a voice and your IP address threats and intimidation tactics won't prevent the truth from coming out.

Yes, A FEW of you need to WAKE UP and GROW UP! Many of you are good people, and a few of you might just be misinformed or easily persuaded by LIES. Many of you actually care about Racine. Many of you question the corrupt activities going on. Surprisingly, of the 5 or 6 blogs that I know you control, all of them require registration before commenting. In fact, I don't think any blog offers 'anonymous' anymore. So why is it that we're un-American and baby rapers if we disallow anonymous comments? Your own sites are "guilty" of the same practice.

You know this is really sad that people have to attack what other people are trying to do on our site. At least we are posting things on here and if it is not up to your standards Anonymous that is just to bad. Sorry we do not go up to the owner of the business and say are one of the corrupt people in Racine. I would like to see you go in and ask the people that. Just remember on this site you are not attacking just one person you are attacking all of us we stand together as a family on here and if you do not like how we all stand together that is just to bad.

I'm sorry my analogy was lost in mis-wording. "not my circus, not my monkeys" was the reference I was going for, but only zoo came to mind.
The circus you come from is a whole different thing than what we're going for.
If you are after people and places to take on, there is a circus for that. What I'm trying to do has nothing to do with it, therefore a whole different circus. You are angry because we don't want to be part of your 'act'. Your anger and hostility is what turns most of us off to your rantings. It goes back to the core of the purpose to what I'm trying to do, and you don't want to stop long enough to just see it for what it is.
What saddens me most, is that I asked you point blank if you were my anonymous and you flat out lied to me. I would have rather you were honest.
True friends try to understand each other, not see things as rivalry. You're not even trying to see where I'm coming from in the least. It's not about who people or places are, but what my hearts intention to it overall is about you can't see, so you tear me down.

Maybe if you stopped the name calling and actually read what I had to say, you would begin to understand. Part of being friends is being honest with each other.
I never lied about anything. Either you are confused, ignorant, or you must be friends with those involved in the corruption and that has clouded your judgement.
I'm not confused, nor ignorant, I just don't take kindly to being bullied. You may be right, but your approach turns most people off. You completely blow off what my entire intention is, and it has nothing to do with what you rant about.
I asked you, point blank one day, IN PERSON, if you were my 'anonymous' and you denied it, that would be what the average person calls lying, but maybe that's only what you call it when other people do it, what is it what you do it? so done, put a fork in it, done.
