Baby steps Beejay is what they say. He got a shot yesterday and it helped. This morning he got into the truck, made it around the corner and had to turn back. That being said, his brother has had 3 back surgeries and is still in pain. His aunt was supposed to have another procedure done but it was at the Ebola hospital in Dallas so that one was cancelled. It's just so hard to watch. But, he will get better and in a few hours, will be up, I hope.
OKIE, IF he Is lying on the floor, has he tried the "Williams Position"? One needs to pull their knees up as close to their chest as possible. It sometimes works. I have had both Upper, and Lower back pain. The Upper was Spasms, and the Lower caused by degenerative disk disease. Really not much helps, but IF he finds a position that works. Just tell him not to move. As for surgery, I don't know of really anyone that has had a good experience with surgery. I have kind of just learned to walk a bit hunched over at times, and given up on doctors, really because they have NO, NONE, NOT even a little CLUE of how much It hurts, when It's bad. Tell him I KNOW, and I truly feel bad for him. I wish I had a better answer. Unlike MY wife, who just say's things like "Walk It off", and "It will get better" I know It's really bothers you. "Love Is a many splendord thing"
Slowly but surely he is getting better. Was able to get up and walk for a minute. His brother reminded him that the 1st day after the shot is the hardest. Tomorrow will be a better day.
Too bad about the back pain, OKIE. I've known people who have had back surgery and got wonderful relief. I also know a guy who had 4 surgeries, each one "guaranteed" to take away the pain. Today he wears a morphine pump to keep going. He also has four large bolts in his back.

I get to pay for my day off yesterday by working Saturday. I did get a LOT done yesterday tho, so it's all good, my house is almost back in order!
Morning, all.
I have a husband lying on the bedroom floor screaming in pain. It's not a good day.
Oh, my gosh. What does the doctor say about this level of pain? Poor guy.

Okie, give the hubby our love. Back pain is terrible, and almost impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep. I hope his pain subsides soon.
OH, Okie, I feel for both of you!

So sorry to hear about Mr. Okie. I hope the pain subsides quickly.
