Open Blog - Weekend

I'm not tackling the tree and decorations... until January.

  1. Christmas decorations will come down slowly beginning the first. What a mess! Not looking forward to it. Four trees? Well, actually three that have to be disassembled.

  2. Not-so-jolly me, wound up with three trees. Only one needs disassembling. If I had a bag big enough... I'd be tempted to just put one over the big tree and haul it to the basement. Had the crew over yesterday and the day went well.

Now, to plan for the New Year's party. My overnight guest to ring in the new year still doesn't have her drinking ID. ;>

  3. taking the tree down isn't even on my radar yet. It's here for some time yet. The lights make me happy, and when they're gone... why rush happiness into the attic? I found cleaning with a hubby home is like cleaning with a hyper 2 year old home. I don't see much a difference 10 minutes after I finish... today is his birthday, so I'll have to give the ol' boy a little slack :)

  4. I'm with LM this year. I've decided that January is cold and bleak and therefore keeping the tree up will make for a little cheer.

The past two days have been lovely weather wise with temps near 60.

Right now there is 2 inches of snow on the ground and it's still snowing.

    Seriously?

  6. LM- Tell hubby we said Happy Birthday and be nice to him at least for today.

My tree is coming down this weekend and the decorations. I have always taken it down before the New Year. Plus he is here to take everything back out and put it all back. Hahaha

OKIE- It is alright you can keep the snow by you. LOL

  8. Happy Birthday to Mr. Lizardmom.

We're way ahead of the game weather-wise. At this point last year, I think it was bone-chilling cold, and things got worse from there.

    Festivus pole removal is easy.

Keep your lights and decorations up as long as you like. They fight depression.

  9. KK, My dad finally got tired of putting up, and taking the "DAMNED" tree every year, and did EXACTLY as you suggested. Worked great.

  10. OKIE, I just saw the ICE on CNN. Almost like living near Lake Michigan. Wait a minute, and the weather will change?
