I would be more awake if the sun was out. Speaking of which, I noticed it was light until 6:00 last night.
Hopefully I'm back on my regular schedule and out at 1:00. Ace Hardware awaits as the light bulbs seem to be burning out at the same time and the birds need feeding.
Guess what I did? I drove my truck to Piggly Wiggly and got some supplies on my own, just like a normal human being. I'm still very shaky and had to sit down a few times, but I'm "proud" of what I did.
The truck had been sitting outdoors for 10 days without a start. When I went to start it, it caught instantly, like I parked there last night. All props to my mechanic. He's that very rare thing: an honest man in the auto repair business. He's always swamped with work. He says, "I don't have to screw customers. There's plenty of money to be made in doing repairs honestly."
All props to drew and THB for being my saviors. Guess what I got, THB? That's right: Gatorade, 7-Up, and watermelon, and a few other things.
I have to move slow in my "recovery." I want to eat all the watermelon and drink all the Gatorade at once, but if I pile stuff on my stomach, it will go sour again. My main issue at this point is nourishment. I'm sure that's why I'm still shaky. I'll try to take it easy, get some more food in me, and rest.
Orbs, Have you tried Ensure? Gatorade is good to replenish your electrolytes, but you need more nourishment than watermelon. Watermelon is basically water...not much in Nutrients.
Daddy Orbs I keep telling you to go slow on everything and now I hope you will listen. We just want you to get better and be around for a very very long time with us.
Beejay- He does have soup and crackers to eat. I made sure of that too. Do he has everything he needs to get better.
Beejay, thanks for the suggestion. I lived on Ensure for a year when my stomach problems first surfaced. Unfortunately, it gives me diarrhea, and the kidney doctor said diarrhea is the worst thing for low potassium levels, much worse than puking. Everything seems to become a trade-off as I age.
Thanks, THB. I ate like a pig yesterday. I couldn't stop it. The body wants to rebuild itself.

I'm up, not awake, but up
You woke me up. Wish I could sleep one full night.
That is a correct statement at the moment, sheriff. Time to get cracking!
