Just to let everyone know if you have to go out make sure you give yourself enough time to get where you are going because some of the roads are really bad this morning. I took Drew to work because I have errands to do but I am not doing them until Drew gets off work today. I have to cancel an appointment for the car because of the roads.
The rest of the week is supposed to be in the 30's here.
I couldn't sleep last night and finally fell asleep after 6 AM. I was still sleeping at noon when the building's fire alarm went off. There's not just an alarm in the hallways, but every unit is hardwired to the alarm system with a strobe light and incredibly loud chirping alarm. What a way to wake up. I almost fell out of bed. It stopped after a few minutes, while I was putting on shoes and thinking about Charlie.
We're supposed to leave our units and gather downstairs when this happens. I didn't hear any sirens outside, so I figured it was a false alarm. Nonetheless, I was preparing to leave when the alarm stopped.
Last time the alarm went off it was some idiots who were visiting a friend. The friend didn't want smoking in his apartment (permitted), so the idiots stepped out into the hallway to smoke (NOT permitted). They stood and smoked right beneath a hardwired smoke alarm. Of course, it went off. It was night, so staff wasn't on duty. I heard the fire trucks pulling up.
It was very slippery this morning. The roads were much improved on the way home. For some reason, it feels much colder than the temperature shows. It must be a damp, cold.
Stopped and enjoyed a beverage (okay, two) with my best buddy after work.
Last night must not have been the night to sleep. I think I might have managed 4 hours total, if I was lucky. Certainly not enough.
The alarm was a test, according to the manager. I'm surprised they didn't give the residents any notice. They love to hand out notices. Every week I get one or more stuck under my door

We are in for a couple of cool days (40's) and then back into the 50's. So far, it has been a mild winter. I'll take it.
Be safe Irregulars.
LARRY? not that's funny.
