For year's, I didn't like ALI, when he was a young boxer, but as he aged, and retired, I realized just how great he really was. I too, now think he IS the GREATEST.
He was fantastic in the ring, often dropping his arms and taunting his adversaries. His face stayed pretty.
I'm not sure which fight, but I think his first one with Sonny Liston, the weigh-in became mayhem, with Ali (then Cassius Clay) screaming and shouting at Liston. The officials were so upset by Ali's behavior, that they had a ring doctor check him out. His blood pressure was normal. It was all an act. Until Sonny kissed the canvas.
