I'm posting this because my answer on SER's blog reminded me of it. I said we're devolving. Everclear says,
"We can live beside the ocean,
Leave the fire behind,

Watch the world die."

When you listen to kids talk to each other, there is very little respect anymore, for themselves and especially for others. Unfortunately, it is learned behavior. I still believe there is good out there. The bad just seems to get more press.
