I don't even use them, and I'm sure I could stir up about 100 of them if I looked around. They go next to the crochet hooks and the butter knives, just another tool in the woman's toolbox.
Actually I don't see them anymore. When I was younger I do remember perhaps Millions of them In our house. I sometimes bit the plastic end off, and tried to use It as a tiny screwdriver. The above picture didn't mention It, but they have been known to clean ears. I kind of miss them. Kind of Historical.
I remember using them to keep the gigantic rollers in my hair. In fact I do have a package of them at home. Why I keep them is beyond me. But I'm sure they will come in useful at some point. Lordy, I'm starting to talk like my husband.

Oh, Toad, yes, I remember that... I'm sure they were known to puncture a few eardrums, too.
