Went to see the surgeon yesterday and the surgery is scheduled for August 3rd. He was freaking Drew out talking about infection and complications the main one because of my weight. I have been working with my chiropractor with losing weight. I have lost ten pounds in three weeks. I am going to keep up with trying to lose more weight and I have new exercises I have to do for the surgery. I am also keeping a positive attitude about the surgery. I just wanted to let my irregular family know what is happening.

I hope everyone stays nice and cool today and have a great day.

Everything will be fine THB. Surgery is always scary. Off to get my nails done and then home and staying inside.

Have a great day Irregulars.

Oh oh, I forgot. LM & THB. The store was out of my normal bird food and the new stuff I got is not sitting well with them. What are you feeding your birds?

I know what day it is... it is things are looking up, day. Well, at least right at this moment. The bomb could always drop the next. Stay on your guard, Irregulars!

Stay positive, THB. Okie is right, you need to think positive. It will be difficult, but you will do fine. Congrats on the weight loss. Getting started is always the biggest challenge.

Okie- we have safflower seed and suet.

Thank you OKIE and kk. I am going to stay positive.

OKIE - my redheads love safflower (the cardinals and red house finches), sparrows eat the suet, I get the monster size one., and everybody loves the sunflower seeds. I put out a grape jelly feeder hoping for oriels but they never came, but the finches seem to enjoy it

Thanks Girls! Hubby surprised me today with new hanging baskets of flowers. I managed to kill the other ones. It's a talent. That being said, I think the 20 inches of rain didn't help.

I usually salt the cavity, rub the bird all over with olive oil, and sprinkle more salt, pepper, and garlic on It. I alway's roast at 325 degrees, and promptly eat the skin as I'm carving. I have actually never had a problem with them liking or not liking It.
