I agree, hale, about Freddie's voice. His range was huge. Annie Lennox is another one with a multi-octave voice.
Freddie was bisexual at the wrong time and place, before much was known about HIV and AIDS. I always thought that David Bowie was bi, too. He did a duet with Freddie, "Under Pressure." Fortunately, Mr. Bowie is still with us.
Don't forget Roy Orbison. Such a great range. I did hear about Brian Mays degree and now to hear about him working on New Horizons is just flat out great. Thanks for posting this.

Yes, May is well known as a rockstar astronomer...I believe he is on the editorial board of Astronomy Magazine which is based in the Milwaukee area.
