I did laundry yesterday (night), too. I thought everyone would be out partying, but the laundry room was packed. There's three other laundry rooms, but I didn't feel like hauling my load to different rooms and/or floors.

Christ, was it hot in there with all the machines running. When I went to open a dryer to load it, I was greeted with a blast of hot, moist air. My glasses fogged up. When I finally stepped out into the hallway, I was drenched with sweat.

Oh, and I was talking to a guy who was emptying washing machines. After unloading two machines, he scoured them, looking for strays. I said, "You gotta do that. That's what eats the socks." He said, "Yup."

Later in the evening, as I was putting away my laundry, I came across a black sock that wasn't mine.

I put it on the laundry room table this morning. Maybe I helped someone defeat a sock eater.

Daddy Orbs- You are not the only one that had to do laundry last night I had to get Drew's work clothes washed so he could go to work today. We are always losing socks when I do laundry too.

I have to say I really enjoyed seeing everyone yesterday day at our get together. Thank you LM for hosting it. It was also nice to meet Ms. Froggy's husband. We had a great time with everyone.

Good morning, all. My laundry was done before the shindig. I knew if I waited until afterward, it wouldn't happen. It was very nice to sit outside and chat... and eat. The food was great, and so was the company. Thank you, Liz for the location. We really appreciate it. Mr. Goose probably thinks we are NUTS!

so funny that we all did our wash yesterday, I usually do mine Friday or Saturday.
Mr. Goose - I think we kept him entertained for sure. He's had plenty of time with the hubby and me, and we hadn't scared him off, I'm sure he wasn't surprised one bit that ya'all are just like me :)

OKIE, do what I do: ignore the dust.

I hate vacuuming. I think if I had a non-antique machine, I'd like it better. This apartment is one big carpet. I think they should've extended the tile from the kitchen floor through the dining area. Slobs like me are always dropping stuff, and Charlie doesn't go for human food, so it just sits there until the antique vacuum cleaner grinds it into the carpeting.
