long long week so far. I think I mentioned my mother in law's health stuff. She has cancer in 2 places if not more, big, with nothing they can do. She is 88 and one of the most incredible people I have ever met. She was doing ok for the wedding, but the last week has started to take a turn and is not doing well. My heart is just breaking. I don't want to see her suffer. Hubby is really struggling, working away from home. He's been home the last couple days to spend time with her but has to return today
We are so sorry to hear about your mother in law. We are here for you and the family if you need anything just call. I know how it feels not to be able to do anything for a loved one I went through the same thing with my Grandma.
I know it was quite a downer way to start the thread, sorry guys :( I wanted to let you know, as sometimes I start crawling into my shell when things get too intense, know I'm around, just may have too much happening in the future. It's hard when he's gone, I'm not only 'me' to her, I'm 'him' as well, and needing to determine at what point I need to get him home when it gets bad, and having to keep updating him, I feel drained already :( It helps just knowing you're here for me, even if I can barely peek out of my shell
I don't have the stomach for growing older. When you're young, you might lose a relative or friend every decade. Getting older, everyone starts dropping like flies.

Losing someone and helping them to let go is one of the hardest things to do. We are here, sending our support your way.
ReplyDeleteLM, let us know if we can do anything.
