"No news following closed door talk on employee drug test failure"

"RACINE — A city committee gathered this week to discuss concerns raised about pre-employment drug screenings and the city’s hiring process.But the closed door meeting appears to have yielded no tangible action or insight into the issue.

"Alderman Sandy Weidner initially brought the concern to the Finance and Personnel Committee about two weeks ago after receiving what appeared to be information showing a current city employee had failed a pre-employment drug test.

"Weidner said she, and reportedly others, had been anonymously mailed the results of the failed drug test.

"Weidner said her main concern was that if the information she received was accurate, aldermen had been asked to approve an appointment that flew in the face of the city’s pre-employment policies"

If the people at City Hall are on drugs, that explains a lot.

  3. NO, It means Sandy Weidner Is an honest lady, and doing her job. ANYWHERE that you fail a drug test, you are AUTOMATICALLY rejected until further questions are answered.

  5. I heard on the radio that the group decided to ignore the facts, because they said the report was a confidential document, and had to have been stolen for it to be forwarded to Sandy. Well, that doesn't change the facts that it was POSITIVE, and SOMEONE still hired this person.

  6. I was hoping Sandy would run against Dickert in the last mayoral election. It might've actually been a race then. She has her reasons.
