  1. The question of the day is. Am I a bad grandmother because I am hopeful the rain tonight will wash out the soccer games tomorrow and I can get my Saturday back?

  2. OKIE- No you are not a bad Grandmother for that. It is just you are so use to having your Saturday to do what you want to do and now the Grandkids have their soccer.

  4. Good morning world. Actually, I was up at 9 this morning to go to the bank and get some papers notarized, then off to the post office to mail said rappers to Madison certified. When I got back home, I crashed. A lot of noises awoken me at various times. There was a kitchen fire in the apartment below me and a week later the tenant died. Ever since, it sounds like they're doing massive reconstruction down there. I swear, it sounds like they're moving walls. I don't understand. Just clean it, paint it, shampoo the carpeting and rent it out. Then, or course, they had to mow the lawn. They have a big ZTR that's louder than most cars.

OKIE, too bad that a few demented parents keep the rest of you from cheering on your child or grandchild. I feel sorry for the kids whose parents demand they excel in certain areas. Some of those sport parents are rabid. Usually, they're compensating for their own childhood.

  5. Btw, after being promised "peace and quiet" when I rented this apartment, it's been much louder than my apartment on Main. There's a school next door and kids playing and shouting from noon on. I don't know why, but our street is often the site of loud, speeding vehicles. They're crazy. We're on a hill. One of these days one of those imbeciles is going to crest the hill to find something in his way, probably a human. Anyway, I only have to pay $150 more a month than Main St. to enjoy these "amenities." I live like a hermit with my windows closed.

  6. They cleaned the basement garage floor last year. Next week, they're doing it again. All the cars will have to park on the street for two days. Damn, it's a garage, not a carpet that children crawl on.

  7. Oh Orbs, I was actually whining about having to set the alarm on Saturdays. That being said, Norman got hammered with storms tonight so maybe the fields will be too wet.

The storms went south of us. We got a few rumbles of thunder and that was it. No complaints here.
