Earlier this evening, I checked the oil on my truck and it was low. I
drove to the nearby auto parts store. When I got there, I pulled to
open the door, but it was locked. I checked their operating hours and
they close at 6 PM on Sunday. It was about 6:05. As I did this,
another car pulled up. I said to the guy, "They're closed." He said,
"I can see that, asshole," and he drove off.
Right away I
thought, "Who told him? Word must be getting around." I went to a
gas-station-minute-mart and got my oil there. The clerk there thanked
me for my purchase and didn't call me an asshole. She just hasn't
caught on yet.
What's the point of being abusive? I get so tired of the feeling that people can do/say anything they want. There is something seriously wrong with society, no wonder there are those that feel like they can shoot up a crowd, when one cannot even say a simple statement without being abused in return. Not saying Sweden is perfect (far from) but it just doesn't seem to have the same aggression issues.
ReplyDeleteIt's the brave new world. I'm probably lucky he didn't shoot me.
ReplyDeleteI think people are tired of being broke. They bust their asses, work two to three times the load they used to, and their money doesn't go as far.
