My buddy, Bill, who is a Vietnam veteran and has PTSD, went for a walk. All of a sudden, a guy with a handgun jumps out of some bushes and announces that this is a holdup. Bill KO'ed him with a fist to the side of the head. He grabbed the guy's gun as he went down. Then Bill continued on his walk. When he returned that way, the guy was gone.
I asked Bill, "Did you call the police?"
"What for?" he said. "Now I have another throwaway gun."
He's offered me the use of either gun if I want it, but he doesn't want to know what I'm going to do with it, and when I'm done he wants me to throw the gun in the lake.

It's oddly reassuring to know that.
A added kick to the balls would have been a nice finishing touch.
