I just received a telephone call that said "City of Racine" on the caller ID. So I answered it. Turns out it was a scam purporting that I had won an ocean cruise and all they needed was my debit card number. I kept asking her how they got the caller ID to say "City of Racine," but she ignored me. I hung up and called lying John's office. I spoke with his secretary and she didn't know what was going on. I gave her the phone number from my caller ID, but when I called it, I received a recording saying that the number was not in service.
Who knows? Maybe lying John is running a scam in an effort to raise funds

Btw, his secretary was very nice.
You may have to be put back on the do not call list. I usually have to do it every year for all of are phones.
Thanks, THB. I don't remember when I last did that. As I understand it, the federal one is now for life. You don't have to keep submitting your info.
