MOUNT PLEASANT — Utility work related to the future Foxconn Technology Group manufacturing campus is set to close a stretch of Highway H for three weeks starting Monday, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced.
The DOT said it is coordinating with the American Transmission Co. to allow utility work to be completed on Highway H. ATC intends to build a large transmission plant just outside the planned Foxconn campus, at the northeast quadrant of Highway H and Braun Road. The project is part of the effort to prepare the area for Foxconn’s $10 billion manufacturing campus in the southwest part of Mount Pleasant.
Detours will be posted, and the full closure will be seen at Highway H between Highway KR and Braun Road.
Utility work is already being done in the area and is being coordinated with the reconstruction work on the Interstate frontage roads. The work is expected to be completed by March 23 with the roadway being reopened to traffic at that time.
