Happy week, too.

  1. I take Labetol twice a day and Amlodop[ine once a day - those are my blood pressure pills, As of yesterday, I've added a third Labetol and a second Amlodopine pill. It hasn't helped much. This morning's reading: 179/89. The bottom number really bothers me. I've taken the top number well into the 200's in the past, but I've not seen such a rise in the bottom number. Last night, it was into the 90's. In the ER, it was 110. Monday can't get here fast enough. I want my primary care doctor to tell me what to do. I'm hoping it's just more pills. I refuse to be admitted to the hospital. Tuesday I take a blood test and we'll see how much damage this has done to my kidneys. I was doing so well. After my kidneys failed, I didn't need any blood pressure pills; my readings were normal for about a year. Then all of a sudden, my blood pressure shot up again. The doctor has no valid explanation for this variation. I guess I'll keep the blood pressure monitor out permanently. There's no other way to detect any changes. My sister had horrible blood pressure and her and her doctors struggled with it for years. She said she could feel it when it rose. I can't.
