U.S. military command teams in charge of protecting homeland security are being isolated in the infamous Cheyenne mountain bunker where they will remain 'sealed off' until the coronavirus pandemic passes
*WOW* I was assigned there for nearly 3 years - you could take a Bus
through the entrance tunnel - to the blast doors - or walk on the
sidewalk - I usually walked. My Bunk was at Peterson AFB - on the
Plains.
I remember all these sights - and more. I see that the Command Post
has been seriously updated - gone are the green tinged Rayethon
screens. I was even on a SAS Team - and had responsibility for nuclear
weapon launch codes, Emergency Broadcast System, reporting on daily
maintenance logs and producing daily briefings for Generals.
