A man was shot during a road rage incident in Oak Creek June 16.
At 2:51 p.m. a 911 caller reported a Black woman driver and Black male passenger in a black sedan shot at him while in his vehicle. The man was struck by a bullet but was not critically injured, according to a release from Oak Creek Police.
The incident took place at West Drexel Avenue between Howell Avenue and South 20th Street.
Police initially requested citizen assistance in locating the occupants of the black sedan. The shooter was the Black male passenger described by the victim as younger with short dreadlocks, according to the release.
Police have since updated the release, saying the department had a break in the case and are “no longer in need of the public’s assistance.”
“Thank you to those that called us to help,” the department said on its Facebook page.
