Racine police: Man shot on 10th Street, transported to Froedtert in serious condition
RATCINE — An adult male was found Sunday afternoon in the 1000 block of 10th Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the Racine Police Department said in a news release.
Officers responded to the scene at 2:54 p.m. Sunday. The victim was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa in serious condition.
UPDATED: One dead in Douglas Avenue shooting; suspect in custody
RATCINE — An adult male was found dead by Racine Police Department officers when they responded to a shots-fired complaint in the 1700 block of Douglas Avenue at about 10:17 p.m. Saturday.
It appeared that the victim had sustained a gunshot wound, according to the news release. While an adult male suspect is in custody, the identities of the victim and suspect are being withheld, pending further investigation, police said.
A July 28 incident involving the death of another adult male on Douglas Avenue remains under investigation. In that incident, the male victim was involved in a disturbance with another male prior to police being called, Racine Police said.
Racine man allegedly groped child under 16, threatened to shoot and kill the victim
RATCINE — A Racine man allegedly groped a child under 16, and threatened to shoot and kill the victim.
Robert C. McCarter, 28, of the 1900 block of Lawn Street, is charged with three felony counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child with use or threat of force or violence; first-degree sexual assault; second-degree recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon; possession of a firearm by a felon; 11 counts of felony bail jumping; and failure to comply with officer’s attempt to take person into custody.
McCarter is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of pointing a firearm at another and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon.
Racine man allegedly broke into a foreclosed home, threw a party
CALEDONIA — A Racine man allegedly broke into a foreclosed home and threw a party in the backyard, and he now faces criminal charges.
Mustafa E. Bey, 28, of the 1600 block of Winslow Street, was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass.
Three shot overnight on Marquette Street in Racine
RATCINE — Three people were shot early Friday morning, outside, in the 1400 block of Marquette Street, according to Racine Police.
The call came in at approximately 1:30 a.m. Three people were taken to the hospital. All were still alive at the time, although no condition report was available Friday.
