A 24-year-old man shot six people, three fatally, early Sunday morning at a packed Kenosha County tavern after he bumped shoulders with someone and got into a physical fight with a group of friends, prosecutors said Monday in a court hearing.

Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley said he expects to charge Rakayo A. Vinson of Racine with three counts of first-degree intentional homicide and three counts of attempted homicide.

Vinson is being held at the Kenosha County Jail on a $4 million cash bond after he was arrested Sunday evening in Mount Pleasant.

Rakayo A. Vinson, 24, was arrested on suspicion of homicide in connection with the shooting at the Somers House tavern in Kenosha County.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth identified the victims who died in the shooting at the Somers House tavern: Kevin T. Donaldson, 22; Cedric D. Gaston, 24; Atkeem D. Stevenson, 26, all of Kenosha. The three were friends and were part of a group that had fought with Vinson.

Those injured were: a 26-year-old man from Kenosha and two men, 22 and 23, from Wonder Lake, Illinois.

After the fight, Vinson was taken aside by the tavern owner to calm him down. Once that conversation ended, Vinson returned to the friend group and began shooting, officials said. He fatally shot three of the friends.

The three who were injured were not Vinson's targets but were struck by stray gunfire in the busy bar, Beth and Graveley believe.
